The Common Good Unveils the Supper Club Series


February 15, 2024. Aurora, CO. The Common Good, the new restaurant at The Benson Hotel and Faculty Club in Aurora, has announced the Supper Club Series, an exciting new monthly series of Chef’s Tasting Menu dinners.


Executive Chef Donovan Davis has created these dinners for just eight guests in the Private Dining Room on the third Thursday of each month, starting February 24th and running through December 2024.


A veteran of Four Seasons Hotel Austin and Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, Chef Davis is known for his seasonally driven cooking and locally sourced ingredients. Each of these special dinners will offer five to seven courses, taking diners on a culinary journey through the seasons with a diverse array of flavors and textures inspired by the freshest and most vibrant ingredients available.


These intimate Supper Club Series dinners begin with The Seasons Series, and the first one is the “Winter Wonderland” dinner on February 24. It commences with a Scallop Crudo as an Amuse Bouche before moving on to a first course of Citrus & Cream (Citrus, Stracciatella, Fennel, and Pistachio), a Second Course called Winter Hunt that offers a Duo of Pheasant, with Red Cabbage, Wild Mushroom, and Brandy, followed by a Main Course called Cocoa by the Fireplace. This is an Apple Smoked Lamb Loin, with Apple, Carrot and Cocoa. The Intermezzo is a Satsuma Ginger Granita followed by a desert called An Ode to Pears, which combines Pear, Pistachio, and Brown Butter. The cost is $89 per person, plus an additional $39 for an optional wine pairing. The Supper Club Series dinners start at 6 pm.

The Seasonal Series continues with “Spring Symphony” in May, “Summer Harvest” in July, and “Autumn Harvest” in October. Chef Davis has also announced more Supper Club Series dinners for 2024.


A four-part Destination Series promises culinary adventures and starts with “South of the Border” in April,” Italy” in June, “Spain” in August, and “Napa” in November. The Inspiration Series promises unexpected pairings, vibrant presentations, and unparalleled tastes. “Fields of Flowers” is the theme in March, “Embers” is in September, and “Time” is in December.
