"The Benson Hotel project was a great opportunity for me to facilitate a new and important collection of Colorado art. We chose serious artists who have focused on this state, their home or adopted home, as subject matter. We live in an extraordinarily majestic setting, and it seemed important to honor that.
I feel very lucky to have my paintings hanging alongside such a distinguished group of artists!! This collection of paintings, displayed so beautifully at the Benson Hotel and Facility Club, and will continue to be a great attraction for all front range residents and tourists."

"The sculpture I created for the Benson Hotel was inspired from William Matthews saddle in his studio display. The large intricately tooled patterns and lofty tapaderos boasted "statement piece". It was an extremely challenging saddle based on size and etchings. This is by far the largest saddle sculpture I have created thus far and I cannot imagine it displayed anywhere else. I am honored and enthralled to be amongst such the talent of these impeccable artists. As a group I think we were able to demonstrate our abilities and possibilities. What an honor to be a part of such a brilliant project."

It is also humbling to have my work alongside Denver photographer, visionary, and activist Mark Sink. He and his wife bought my painting "Prairie Encounter" for the Denver Art Museum and he purchased the painting of "The Combine" for himself. Ironically, the painting of "The Combine" is on permanent display in Western Section of the new wing of the Denver Art Museum."
